Introducing our second annual fundraising campaign

The Crochet Club has been “Blanketing Our Community” for more than 21 years and has donated over 17,000 blankets to people in need in London and the surrounding area.

Thank you for your previous support, whether it be financial, coming to our fundraising sales or emotional.

We are very pleased to announce that the year ending Sept 30th, 2023 was a record year for blanket donations. We donated 1435 blankets to our agencies – an increase of 37% over last year. However, along with the record number of blankets we spent a record amount on yarn. Our yarn costs exceeded $13,000 which is almost double the historical amount. We need your help again to raise funds for 2023/2024 so we can continue this amazing output and ensure that the agencies we support can provide blankets to the community.

The Club’s annual budget for yarn and rents is now about $10,000 more than pre-pandemic levels. we have set this as the target for our second annual fundraising campaign, KEEPING our Community Warm, which is running from October 1st, 2023 until September 30th, 2024. We are asking for donations of any amount, from members, friends and family. We will issue tax receipts for donations of $20.

  • e-transfer to crochetcluboflondon@gmail.com (preferred method). If you use this method, please include your email address and name and mailing address in the Comment section of the e-Transfer form so a receipt can be sent to you.
  • cheque to The Crochet Club of London mailed to The Crochet Club of London, 1552 Hillside Dr. London N6G 4M6
  • via Canada Helps by using the “donate now” button below. Please note, Canada Helps retains a percentage as administration costs.

Update – As of March 12, 2024 the total donated is $13,408!! Although the target has been reached, we appreciate continued support throughout the year. Thanks to all who have contributed to this campaign.

Tax receipts for members purchasing their own yarn.

Effective July 1, 2022 Income Tax (In Kind) receipts are offered to members who purchase yarn to make blankets for the Club – please note, there is no monetary reimbursement for these purchases. Forms to submit receipts are available at meetings or through Contact Us to request a form.
